The two castles to discover via the hiking paths are Kazimierz & Piaskowa Skala which has trout breeding pools dating back to the 16th century and the St. Joseph Chapel on the Water. The area is well known for its rock formations and caves, the breath-taking views in the Pradnik Valley are also a centre for Rock Climbing, comprehensive rock climbing excursions and holiday breaks for beginners to the more experienced adventurer. 

The limestone white cliff faces make it a challenging hotspot for climbers of all levels and if you have a canoe or kayak the two rivers running through the park and rock formations will provide hours of fun. In Krakow itself there are 3 rock climbing activity centres, the Fortress, Forteca and Avatar open all year round. 

If you enjoy being high up in the sky then for a real adventure take on Sky Diving, you leap out of the aeroplane from a height of 2km in tandem with an expert sky diver for that ultimate thrill of hurtling towards the ground whilst enjoying the view. Tandem parachute jump is also a popular stag prank in Krakow.The lakes on the outskirts of Krakow provide water-sports or just a leisurely day in the sun, one of the most frequented areas is Kryspinow with sandy beaches and restaurants on hand. Boating, jet-skis and water skiing activities for hire. Canoeing and kayaking are some of the best activities enjoyed at Poland’s western lakes region. Zakopane which is a popular mountain resort for Poles and tourists with activities in all seasons is only 110km drive from Krakow in the Tatra Mountain range. Like Ojcow National Park hiking, trekking and climbing along with white water rafting on the spectacular Dunajec River and to add horse-riding and the winter season brings the skiers and snowboarders. The many natural thermal springs and spa centres help you rejuvenate after an exhausting day on the pistes is uplifting for the excellent apres-ski entertainment and culinary delights. The area is famous for its Highlander traditional recipes and a particular smoked cheese called Oscypek. Zakopane is also a great destination for international sports tours and training camps- Polish Olympics preparation center is based in Zakopane. Some rugby teams decide to combine their training camps with joining the legendary rugby festival held annually in Krakow.

Zakopane’s architecture is unusual as the many  wood built structures and building creates a certain ambience of the type Once upon a time theme especially when everything is capped in snow, it’s majestic.
